Well everyone I'm going to give this blog a college try but since I can't link my playbook with my camera this will be post two without images. I hope to resolve the short coming by the weekend.
So far I've noticed Buenos Aires is full of graffiti, some stunning art and other areas of inceasant tagging similar to what Topher pointed out a few weeks back when we passed through Montreal. There's also a lack of real regard for lanes or right of way. Hey it's working for them so I say fair play (plus the numerous speed bumps seem to be effective... though I wonder how long cars can last screeching to a halt and then gunning the engine over time) What I'm less impressed by is the mounds of excrement on the sidewalks.... seriously? Reason 16,364 not to be down with pooches in my book.
Graffiti is everywhere in Buenos Aires |
Visited Evita Perón's tomb today at the Cementerio de La Recoleta.
Jaysus it was hot and humid and no one is making as big a deal of Eva as we expected them to. In true Staysea fashion I felt like I should tell all the other people wandering around where they could find her... so I mumbled loudly around people who seemed confused that Eva should be better marked and within seconds I had people asking me... told a few and then bailed. Hey I don't work there right? Plus it was time for epinadas, pamplona and vino tinto.Back in my room now... just beat the electrical thunder storm that's now been beating down on this city for 4 hours. I adore a good storm. I hope it clears some of the dog *#¤~ off the sidewalks for tomorrow's wander over to the MALBA (http://www.malba.org.ar/web/home.php) to check out some latin art... wish you were with my Skavie. I believe it would be right up your alley.
Okay folks, I'll do my best to get photos from my camera in the next entry. Enjoy your Thursdays.

Glad to hear you arrive safe and sound, albeit surrounded by dog poo. Want to hear more about these new "friends" of yours....where are they from? What has been the highlight of Buenos Aires?
